Walter Lochhead was a baxter (baker) in Glasgow, and a burgess and guild brother there. Glasgow Burgesses, p. 56 He is first noticed as a resident of Glasgow on 29 May 1598. Glasgow Protocols, xi, protocol number 3470 on p. 71

Walter Lochhead was alive on 8 March 1621, the date upon which his eldest son George was enrolled as a burgess of Glasgow Glasgow Burgesses, p. 56 but he died before30 March 1628, the date upon which his second son James Lochead was enrolled as a burgess and guild brother of Glasgow. Ibidem, p. 64
