About Wenda Brink
Wenda was born at 9am on 7th October 1919 at Station Street, Hatfield, Pretoria.
She went to Arcadia school and then on to Pretoria Girls High School where she was a boarder at North Lodge.
She was head girl and then went on to do a secretarial course.
She worked for the Pretoria Publicity Association, the lst Jacaranda Festival, and was with the British High Commission at the outbreak of the war in 1939.
She married Louis Brink on the 28th December 1940.
She went into the war as a Lieutenant in British Embassy, Ankara 1943 - 4.4.1945 during the unveiling of master spy "Cicero" (South African Artillery in Madagascar, Egypt, and Italy
Cairo 1945 - Louis in hospital - both returned to Pretoria in 1945 - thatched cottage 67 Milner Street Waterkloof.
Wendy Jayne born 13.12.1945
Owner built Zenzale - 35 Lawley Street, Waterkloof in 1957.
Louis died 26th November 1962.
Married Hector Grant McKenzie 8.8.1964 at 77 Milner Street.
Returned to Zenzale 1n 1969 - British Embassy rented it for 5 years.
