OBITUARY NOTICES.

The funeral of Mr William A. (Will) Keane, second son of Mrs Keane, a very old resident of Peel street south, took place on Tuesday last, when his remains were interred in the Ballarat New in the presence of a large number of old friends and acquaintances. Messrs Jas. Hawkins Jas. Lyons, W. Dark, and W. Haddrill acted as coffin-bearers; and the pall-bearers were Messrs A. W. Hager, W. Illingworth, W. Cartledge, and T. Hawkins (brothers in-law of the deceased), W. Steele, D. Murphy, F. Smith, R. Scarffe, and V. Datson. Service at the grave was conducted by the Rev. Father Close

William Alpius Keane was born in 1866, in Ballarat, Victoria, Australia, his father, Thomas John Keane, was 30 and his mother, Margaret McSweeney, was 34. He married Emma Hawkins in 1889.
