Family tree obtained from Peter Ross dated 1994 says William died of Blackwater Fever, but cause of death on death certificate said "Heart Failure, possibly precipitated by injudicious use of sleeping draught".
Never married.
Handwritten notes from MOOC Archives attached as source. Two slightly conflicting death records One, from Bulawayo, is signed by E. Walker (friend) - cites cause of death as pneumonia. The other, signed by Emily Sarah Morom in Cape Town. Confirms death date and place.
Left £6.6.6 in cash; personal effects; "Mining claims", plus £2000 inheritance.
