Served as a Colonel in the Militia during the French and Indian War. He purchased 1110 acres on Bull Run Creek in Frederick Co on March 24, 1760 in VA. The survey was made by Colonel George Washington. Their home was called “Peace and Plenty” and was near the Shenandoah River.
