William FitzAlan, 18th Earl of Arundel (1476 – 23 January 1544) was an English peer, styled as Lord Maltravers from 1487 to 1524.

FitzAlan was the son of Thomas FitzAlan, 17th Earl of Arundel and on 15 February 1510, he married Lady Anne Percy, a daughter of the 4th Earl of Northumberland. He succeeded to the title of 18th Earl of Arundel on the demise of his father Thomas in 1524 and became Lord Chamberlain in 1526.

FitzAlan bore the Sceptre with the Dove at the coronation of Anne Boleyn in 1533 and later took part in her trial in 1536. During the Dissolution of the Monasteries he was given large areas of land in Sussex, including Michelham Priory. He died in 1544 and was buried at Arundel Castle.

    William FitzAlan, 18th Earl of Arundel was born circa 1476.1 He was the son of Thomas FitzAlan, 17th Earl of Arundel and Margaret Woodville.1 He married, firstly, Elizabeth Willoughby, daughter of Robert Willoughby, 1st Baron Willoughby de Broke and Blanche Champernoun, before 1510.1 He married, secondly, Anne Percy, daughter of Henry Percy, 3rd Earl of Northumberland and Lady Maud Herbert, on 15 February 1510/11.1 He died on 23 January 1543/44.1 He was buried at Arundel Castle, Arundel, Sussex, England.1 His will (dated 23 January 1543/4) was probated on 5 March 1543/44.1

William FitzAlan, 18th Earl of Arundel was styled as Lord Mautravers between 1487 and 1524.2 He was invested as a Knight, Order of the Bath (K.B.) on 29 November 1489.1 He succeeded to the title of 18th Earl of Arundel [E., c. 1138] on 25 October 1524.1 He was invested as a Knight, Order of the Garter (K.G.) on 25 June 1525.1 On 1 June 1533 he bore the Rod and Dove at the coronation of Queen Anne Boleyn.1 In 1536 he took part in the trial of Queen Anne Boleyn.1 He gained, at the Reformation, a grant of the priory of Michelham, and numerous lands formerly belonging to the Priory of Lewes.1

William FitzAlan, 18th Earl of Arundel, 8th Baron Maltravers KG (1476 – 23 January 1544) was an English peer, styled as Lord Maltravers from 1487 to 1524.

FitzAlan was the son of Thomas FitzAlan, 17th Earl of Arundel, and Margaret Woodville (d. before 6 March 1490), second daughter of Richard Woodville, 1st Earl Rivers, and a younger sister of Elizabeth Woodville, wife of Edward IV.[1]

He married firstly, after 1501, Elizabeth Willoughby, daughter of Robert Willoughby, 1st Baron Willoughby de Broke, and secondly, on 15 February 1510 he married Lady Anne Percy, a daughter of the 4th Earl of Northumberland. He succeeded to the title of 18th Earl of Arundel on the death of his father Thomas in 1524 and became Lord Chamberlain in 1526.
