"On Thursday, 6th October, at Edge Hill, Manning River, by the Reverend Thomas O'Reilly, William, third son of the late William Johnston, Esq., of Dingo Creek, to Fanny Maria, eldest daughter of Henry Wynter, Esq. "



He inherited 'Sunnyside' at Dingo Creek form his father, William. He later purchased 'Dalkeith' at Wherrol Flat. Made their home at Yarras, Hastings. Moved to Dingo Creek in approximately 1873.

The Maitland Mercury & Hunter River General Advertiser 8th January 1891: Bankruptcy proceedings Sequestration orders: "6.-William Johnston, Dingo Creek, Manning River. Mr. Lloyd, official assignee."
