About William Howard McCourt
William was educated at Taylors Falls, MN and surveyed TImber, also doing other Government work, continuing until 1888, when he retired to Polk Co. still surveying and doing railroad surveying as well. He served 8 years as county surrveyor and was nominated for two more years. He owned land in St Croix Falls where he lived for several years.
