His obits states: he came to the United States in 1919 and lived in the Blackstone Valley until 1930.

Blackstone Valley was and is what the region surrounding the Blackstone River is called. It is generally thought of as the river corridor running from Worcester, MA down through the MA towns of Uxbridge, Millbury, Northbridge, Millville and Blackstone over the line into RI and into the towns/cities and villages within Woonsocket, Cumberland, Lincoln, Central Falls, Pawtucket and finally into Narragansett Bay. It was, in the heyday of the mills, one of the life's blood rivers of the region. The entire corridor and region is now the Blackstone River Valley National Heritage Corridor.
