'6th Child William Nicholson Richardson born-Sept. 7, 1894 died-April 18, 1944 Uncle Bill’s first wife was Naomi Smith ( 2-18-1893 --3-26-1934). They were married on Oct 7, 1911 in Reedsville, Preston County West Virginia. During this marriage, 7 children were born. William Kenneth- 1913 Paul Winfield-1915 Eva May-1918 Anna Jane-1920 Betty Eileen-1922 Irene Jean-1925 Marjorie Louise-1931 I notice a period from 1925-1931 when no children were conceived. Wondering if one or two children were born in that period who did not survive. I am basing this on the fact that they were having children every two years up to the year 1925. I do not remember Bill, but I have some recollection of 3 of his children. William Kenneth (Ken), was a frequent visitor to our home. He would stop by and visit my grandmother quite often. He was an insurance salesman for Jefferson Standard Life Ins. Company. He once took to me to stay with his family in Wheeling WV. for a few days. His two sons, Kenneth Jr. (Mel) and Fred were athletic. I remember going to a baseball game in which they participated while visiting with them. Mel later married a girl from Masontown, WV., Iretta Plum. Fred attended WVU and was a member of the basketball team. Irene would also visit my grandmother on occasion. I do remember her working for The WVU Hospitals in Morgantown. She married a Roby. I have met her son Clyde and we have shared genealogy information thru the years. Paul, or “Steer” as his friends called him, moved to Masontown, WV. sometime around 1953. He had a son, Paul or “Mike” as some knew him. He played football for Masontown High School. I remember taking water up to the ball field so he could enjoy a drink after practice. The other children of Paul’s were Naomi, Becky, and Dickie. Not sure what happened to them, but at this writing, Mike is living in Kingwood, WV. Uncle Bill’s second marriage was to Addie Mae Smith (8-31-1902--7-3-1983). They were married on October 13, 1934 in Reedsville, WV. Not certain, but Addie may have been a sister to Bill’s first wife, Naomi. Bill and Addie had the following child. Eleanor Marie-1936 The following are census reports in which Bill is mentioned. 1900 census--refer to Jane A. “Jennie” Lowes 1910 census--refer to Jane A. “Jennie” Lowes 1920 census-- Butch Richardson
