- Mistress Winifred Seybourne emigrated to Maryland in 1638:
"who by the title indicated gentle birth and likewise one who had arrived to the 20 of discretion to be recognized as a femme sole in matter of ethics and business." (p. 215, ...Maryland Palatinate) On 30 July 1638 Lord Baltimore personally issued instructions for a warrant of 100 acres for Mistress Winifred Seyborne [Seaborne] for transporting herself in 163 and at the same time a warrant of 100 acres for Mistress Troughan (1. business." p. 215, ...Maryland Palatinate)
- The residence of Governor Green was patented in 1639 and known as Green's Rest. It was later changed to Saint Ann. The home was a two-story frame building with brick gables.
- On 18 November 1650 acting Governor Thomas Greene executed a document whereby he assigned his entire estate in trust under certain conditions to his friends, Henry Adams and James Langworth, for the benefit of his wife, Winefred, and sons- Thomas, Leonard, Robert, and Francis. He desired his wife to have full possession of the Estate during life except for a certain amount of tobacco which was bequeathed to his friend and priest, Thomas Copley.

There is nothing stated in "The Ark and the Dove Adventurers" to show any family relationship between Thomas Greene and Lord Baltimore's family. The Thomas Greene in the book came w/ the Ark & Dove. He had 2 wives: Ann Cox and later Winifred Seybourne, widow of Nicholas Harvey. He was appointed Governor on 9 June 1647 by Leonard Calvert, but in 1648 William Stone became Governor. He was dead by 23 January 1651/52."

Biography
Winifred Seyborne was born in 1612 in Bobbing, Kent, England (United Kingdom). Her parents were Sir William Edward (Knight Bachelor) Seybourne and Lady Beatrice Bellerin Bishop.
Winifred married 'Gov' Thomas Green. Together they had the following children: Leonard Greene.
She died on October 1, 1656 in St. Mary's County, Maryland, USA. Thomas married Mistress Winifred Seybourne [Seaborne] (b. abt 1610, England) on 2 April 1643 and had issue. Mistress Winifred Seybourne emigrated to Maryland in 1638 who by her title indicated gentle birth and likewise one who arrived to the age of discretion to be recognized as a femme sole in matter of ethics and business. On 30 July 1638, she received 100 acres for transporting herself and another 100 for transporting Mistress Troughan. She emigrated, that is, financed her own passage thus indicating a lady of means.[2]
