Wynn & Elizabeth Jane (Tribble) Bearden were married in 1846, believed to be in TN.

Children of Wynn & Elizabeth;

• John O. (3/5/1847 - 7/4/1898), married Sarah A. Snell 9/25/1867. To this union 5 children were born: Addie, Albert, Clarence, may, and Will Bearden. Sarah was the daughter of A. G. & Casandra Snell. By June, 1864 Sarah's father had died and her future father-in-law made her guardian. The 1870 Census lists John O. & Sarah A. (Snell) Bearden living with her mother. Sarah's age was enumerated as 19. On 5/15/1873 the young couple acknowledged receipt of $159.29, the amount due from Wynn Bearden as guardian for Sarah (Bedford Co. Guardian Book D, pg. 217). They are buried in Pisgah Cemetery, Bedford Co., TN.
• James M. (10/5/1848 - 4/1865) He was a Union veteran of the Civil War and is thought to have died during his service. James is buried at the National Cemetery in St. Louis, MO.
• Arnetta Frances (9/6/1850 - 2/11/1938), married James M. Finney (1848 - 6/17/1896). The marriage occurred 5/4/1871, and to this union 6 children were born: Olliver F.; Hattie; Ethel; Emma; Edgar B.; and Elma Finney; *Harvey M (11/6/1852 - 12/23/1917), married on 9/20/1891 to Mary Elizabeth Gunn (d. 6/6/1936). They are buried at Winchester, TN.
• Malissa Elizabeth (Bearden) Smiley (10/9/1855 - 7/22/1910). Malissa hadn't married at the time her father made his Will on 9/24/1898, but by the time his estate was settled 3/27/12903, she had become the 2nd wife of William G. Smiley (4/1/1833 - 1/5/1915). No children were born of this union. Malissa is buried in Rosebank Cemetery, Flat Creek, Bedford Co., TN. William is buried in Willow Mount Cemetery, Bedford Co., TN, near his daughter Otha (Smiley) Hix, wife of Jame R. Hix.
• Josie (Bearden) Williams (3/5/1857 - 7/17/1945), married on 8/21/1900 to William A. Williams (5/12/1852 - 3/30/1912). No children were born to this union. Josie is buried in Rosebank Cemetery, Flat Creek, Bedford Co., TN.
• William Newman (2/11/1859 - 6/19/1936), married on 9/24/1887 to Mary "Mollie" Elizabeth Hix, daughter of William S. & Martha Ann (Word) Hix (6/12/1863 - 5/3/1953). To this union at least 3 children were born: Eva; Roy Newman; and Lillie. William & "Mollie" are buried in Willow Mount Cemetery, Shelbyville, Bedford Co., TN.
• Eddie B. (4/2/1861 - 9/30/1942). He married Ellen C. Williams (1/22/1867 - 6/19/1939) on 8/31/1884, and to this union 3 children were born: Eula; Hubert A.; and Gladys.
• Laura D. (4/28/1865 - 6/28/1865).
• Oscar Elmo (7/18/1866 - 6/16/1932). He married on 12/14/1893 to Susie E. Harrison (1865 - 1922), and no children were born to this union. Oscar was a rural mail carrier for many years while Flat Creek (Bedford Co., TN) had a post office. They are buried in Rosebank Cemetery, Flat Creek, Bedford Co., TN.
• Allen McBride "Mack" Bearden (2/6/1871 - 2/13/1940). On 1/24/1901 he married Ellie R. Bomar (11/21/1876 - 8/21/1943), and to this union no children were born. They are buried in Wellington, KS.
