About Zachariah Joseph Handley

Obituary from the Hinton Record, Vol. XXXIII, No. 33, Wednesday, July 24, 1935, Hinton, Caddo County, Oklahoma--Zach Handley Died Wednesday--Zack Handley aged 80 years, died at the home of his son in Oklahoma City after a long illness late Wednesday. Funeral services were conducted at the Hunter Funeral Chapel, Capitol Hill, Oklahoma City, Friday afternoon and interment followed in Rose Hill. Deceased was a pioneer settler of Hinton Community, settling on the farm three miles north of town in the early days. Some years ago he moved to close to town. He had been ill for several years and for the past two years made his home with his son in the City. His wife preceded him in death, two months ago, passing away in Oklahoma City ath the home of her son, after an illness of several years. Her funeral was conducted in the City and interment followed in Rose Hill cemetery. He is survived by several children, other close relatives and many friends. He was well known here and the many friends regretted to learn of his passing.
