From the traffic light in Adel at the intersection of Hutchinson Avenue (US Hwy 41) and Fourth St. (GA Hwy 37), go west on GA 37 .6 miles to next traffic light. Turn left on GA Hwy 76 (South Elm St.) and go .9 miles passing under I-75 Interstate Highway; turn left and cross the railroad. The cemetery will be on the left. The cemetery is located in Cook County.

The Adel Cemetery has been a burial ground for blacks for over 100 years. It has been called by various names in obituaries and other records.
