The aim of this project is to gather together information regarding cemeteries and graveyards in the county which either have available transcriptions or have been photographed and transcribed.

The Monumental Inscriptions
In 1907 Arthur Weight Matthews of Luton began to record gravestone inscriptions and by 1916, when he left the County, he had filled 17 notebooks with transcripts.
Bedfordshire Borough Council off an Enquiry and Research Service -
