This Elmwood Cemetery Project is a memorial for those who are interested in the persons buried there.

It is located west of the village of Minburn, in Sugar Grove Twp. near the center of Dallas County in the great state of Iowa. For diving directions, turn west at the crossroad at U.S. Hwy 169 & county road F-31, driving approximately two miles on F-31.

It is a lovely, picturesque, well maintained cemetery owned by the town of Minburn. Locally, the American Legion Osborne Post #99 and its supporting Women's Auxiliary maintain an exhibit for deceased veterans of all wars near the entrance of the cemetery.

The first burial in the cemetery was in April 1880. Other cemeteries located near Elmwood: Kimrey Cemetery, Myers Cemetery, and Garoutte Cemetery.
