Owned and operated by the Earl Winehart Post #96 American Legion, the G.A.R. Cemetery is the Snohomish area's largest Public Memorial Park.
For over a century, the G.A.R. has been providing the historic Snohomish area with a quality burial ground at reasonable cost. We are a non-profit, fully endowed care cemetery.
Established in 1898 by the Morton Post No. 10, the historic cemetery is one of two in the Puget Sound area and the only independently active and maintained Civil War Cemetery in the state of Washington. Approximately two hundred Civil War Veterans are buried within these grounds.
