This cemetery is located on Elk Avenue, one half mile south of 130th Street, Guss, Taylor County, Iowa. It's also known as Maple Grove Cemetery.

Tombstone Record of Taylor County Iowa 1994 compiled and published by the Taylor County Genealogical Society, page 264: "Guss cemetery is in section 23 of Nodaway twp., on the north edge of town. In early records the cemetery is sometimes referred to as the Brown cemetery (family that once owned the land) and/or Maple Grove or Methodist Grove. The church in Guss is called Maple Grove and is a Methodist church." . . . Early obituaries and 1941 WPA records refer to it as the Brown Cemetery. (Iowa Gen Web)
