This project seeks to collect all of the Jewish families from the town of Náchod in Bohemia, Czech Republic.

Nachod is near the Czech border with Poland Jewish settlement in Nachod dates back to before 1340, which makes it one of the oldest Jewish communities in the Czech lands - along with Prague, Kolin, Mlada Boleslav and Roudnice.
The sixteenth century synagogue, which was rebuilt in the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries, was demolished under the Communists in 1964.
The Old Cemetery with stones dating back to the mid-seventeenth century was destroyed by the Nazis. After the war, a prayer room was established, which was later converted into an apartment. Today there is the remains of a Jewish street, in part of what was the old ghetto, and the New Cemetery dating from 1925, where there is a memorial to Nachod's Jewish victims of the Nazis.
Almost certainly the Jews of Nachod were deported from nearby Hradec Kralove on one of the two transports that left in Dec 17 and Dec 21 1942. Source
