IN SEARCH OF THE LEGACY, FAMILY, AND INFORMATION Johannes Theodorus Mosman is the eldest member of our Mosman family to come to America. He had 14 children. Nine married and had children. In 1897 he gave an original oil painting to each of his grandchildren and continued painting for every grandchild as they were born. This painting was a symbolic family portrait. It is said that he painted approximately 60 of these. He also made a large painting for his wife. This project is to find the oil paintings and the descendents. Dirk "Theodore" Mosman had 8 children. Johanna Mosman Haring had 4 children. Frank Mosman had 2 children and an adopted son and also a brother who lived with the family. John Mosman had a daughter, Pauline Anton Mosman 9 children. Adelbert had 12 children William had 6 children and he adopted a child. Henry had 8 children Wilhelminia had 5 children
