Os Luso-descendentes da Índia Portuguêsa (1510 - 1961)

To commemorate the compilation of Genealogist Jorge Forjaz, this Genealogy Project has been set up.

It is the place as a project to compile all the ancestors who are called Luso-Asiáticos. The ancestors or descendants of these people may have been born or would have lived in parts of the Indian subcontinent which were part of the Portuguese Empire (Índia Portuguesa) under the Kingdom of Portugal. Luso-Asians traded with others and influenced them in Asia as well as Portugal, Brasil, Macau, other African/Asian Portuguese territories and other parts of Catholic Europe, especially Spain and Italy.

Come on over and bring your adventurous ancestors with you.

Note: Not all Luso-descendentes are compiled here, work is ongoing. However if you would like to refer to a comprehensive genealogical publication, then go through: Forjaz, Jorge Pamplona, and José Francisco de Noronha. 2003. Os luso-descendentes da Índia portuguesa. Lisboa: Fundação Oriente. (Three Volumes)
