Since 1985, People magazine has crowned an annual "Sexiest Man Alive," similar to Time magazine's "Person of the Year" (but sexier). Since 1997, the recipient has been named in November or the first two days of December. The title is the counterpart of the "Most Beautiful Person" issue released each spring, which usually features a woman.
