"William Nicol" (Ship) - Colonists to South Australia in 1840

The William Nicol arrived in Port Adelaide on the 7th July 1840. Captain William Elder (1804-1882) brought Scottish and Irish immigrants to the new colony.The captain himself returned in 1844 on the Symmetry to settle, his brother was already here as to his brother in Law Captain James Malcolm who arrived on the Malcom from Brazil.
