Some of Bastard families may somehow descend from one of the noble persons in Persia called Artabazos ( Ard-ta-Baz) .
Alexander of Makedonia was the son-in-law of one of them through Barsinoé, and her kinmen might have accompanied him to different places,earlier Xerxés of Média might have also had in his troups people of the same name . Their son having been born by a Persian mother might have indeed been regarded by Makedonian court as a "bastard".
Although they also might have been aware of that not only Alexander himself came from a Persian royal father,but his raising stepfather Philippos was also of cleanest Persian descent beginning with his most famous ancestor Héraklés,of whom Barsinoé's
-allegedly killed - son was named too . .
