In French, "Bossert" is a masculine derivative noun signifying "Hard worker" in the most emphatic sense, that is to impart an even stronger meaning than the regular term for "Hard Worker."
Bossert derives itself from "Bois" plus "sert." Bois, meaning forest, and sert being the root word for serf. You could probably draw several connections to this (ie woodsman or forester).
