Egeland, resent, name of a farm in Fjotland Gno:31, Vest Agder, Norway.

Surname Eikeland was taken by Olav Nilsen Egeland b.1907, before hei died in 1946.

Most of his brothers and sisters followed Olav and changed surname from Egeland to Eikeland.

Source: My father Sigurd Eikeland , brother of Olav Nilsen and son of Amalie Bertntsdtr Knibestøl Egeland b.14/2-1885 d. sept. 1967, told me this in my childhood.
