Early Gewin lineage had a connection to First Lady Martha Dandridge Custis Washington, Patrick Henry, Robert E Lee and their descendants. After traveling from England to America, they settled in Virginia, and have since touched most, if not all, of the United States and other countries. Powhatan Tecumseh Gewin and Carrie Carroll Gewin were my grandmother's paternal grandparents.
