He might have not ,as the Nibelung Saga claims,been killed at Kriemhild's battle but went on to fight for power and for life not just of his own but for that of his people ,and - meanwhile he was at least represented
in Hispania in power under the germanised name Atawulf - at the end of it lost both by the hands of intrusive romans alias spaniards ,as we may well know from history .
