His [Thomas Brattle's] children, all born at Boston, were,

7. Bethiah, b. Dec. 13, 1666.

(1) 7. Bethiah Brattle, third daughter of Thomas and Elizabeth (Tyng), married Joseph Parsons of Boston, merchant. He was an advocate for the overthrow of Andross in 16S9, made freeman in March, 1690.

She died at Boston, July 4, 1690, of small pox, their last child having died of the same disease ten days
before.

Her issue were :

  • 33. Joseph, bapt. July 27, 1684, d. young.
  • 34. William, b. Dec. 29, 1685, bapt. Jan. 2 1685-6 d. young. The second son, William, then being the "only child," d. June 24, 1690.
  • 35- Bethiah, b. Jan. i, 1686-J, bapt. next day, d. young.
  • 36. Thomas, b. Aug. 11, 1689, bapt. same day, d. young.

Of Joseph Parsons, the father, after the death of the last of his family, we know nothing further except that he was living in 1720, and was held in esteem and affection by the brothers of his wife, each of whom bequeathed property to him in their wills.

Joseph Parsons (1679), of Boston, merchant, married Bethia Brattle, daughter of Capt. Thomas (1675). They had four children, all of whom died young; the mother herself dying July 4, 1690, ten days after her last child died.
Mr. Parsons (1679) was a member of the patriotic council for the overthrow of Andros in 1689, and was made a freeman in March, 1690.
Of Joseph Parsons (1679), the father, after the death of the last of his family, nothing has been learned, except that he was alive in 1720.
