Dr. John Skinner
Dr. Skinner (1765-1850): physician; sheriff of New Haven County in 1809; treasurer of Rimmon Falls Turnpike Company.
Skinner was one of the very first "founders" of the Yale-New Haven Hospital, back in 1833. Those who donated money for the building of the hospital were issued certificates, "making them members for life of the General Hospital Society of Connecticut"
Roger Sherman Skinner (1795-1838): lawyer; practiced in New Haven 1816-1828; clerk of city and county courts around 1820; 1828 moved to New York City.
