Edward R. Olive, 74, life-long Stafford County resident, died Saturday afternoon at his home at East Chatham.
He was the son of the Robert and Shady Olive, of Westmoreland County.
Surviving him are his wife, Mrs. Rosie B. Olive; three daughters, Mrs. Nora Lee Fines, of Stafford, Mrs. Verna Marie Kearns, of Brooke, and Mrs. Shady Lou Self, of Fredericksburg; three sons, Elwood L. Olive, of Dahlgren, Manly E. Olive, of Washington, and Herman Olive, of Fredericksburg; a sister, Mrs. W. M. Grady, of Stafford; 22 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p. m. Tuesday at the Wheeler and Thompson funeral home by the Rev. R. V. Lancaster and the Rev. J. W. Dillon. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.
