She appears in 1850 as Eliza Patterson (37) in the household of Benjamin Quillen at Baldwin, Allegheny, Pennsylvania.

It's possible she was the Elizabeth Patterson who was at Versailles, Allegheny, Pennsylvania in 1840, next to an Alexander Patterson who might have been Alexander Patterson or Alexander Patterson. Zachus Patterson appears on the previous page of same census. The census gives no information about her age or household, just her name. However, her age in 1840 would be young to have a separate household as a widow. If she was in Allegheny County in 1840 it is more likely she was the wife of a Patterson living in the area that became Baldwin Township, which was created in 1844, from Upper St. Clair, Lower St. Clair, Jefferson, and Mifflin townships:

• James Patterson (40-50), Mifflin Township
• John Patterson (50-60), Lower St Clair Township
• Thos M Patterson (40-50), Jefferson Township

She has not been found on the 1860 census, but she was probably the Eliza Patterson (55) who appears on the 1870 Mortality Schedule. She was born in Pennsylvania and died in March 1870 from cancer of the womb.
