Elizabeth Reynolds and Thomas Rucker did not marry until 1753 so it seems that the only biological child of Elizabeth and Thomas Rucker was Frances "Franky" "Frankey" RUCKER Alexander born in 1764.

Elizabeth "Eliza" REYNOLDS Rucker was probably the second wife, or more, of Thomas Rucker. This would mean that the children of Thomas Rucker which were born before 1753 are not children of Elizabeth "Eliza" REYNOLDS Rucker.

Biography

https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Reynolds-474

Elizabeth Reynolds was born circa 1708 in Essex County, Virginia, a daughter of Cornelius Reynolds and Martha Beasley. Elizabeth appears as "Sarah" in her father's Will, but as "Elizabeth Rucker" in her mother's Will, dated March 10, 1753. Her husband, Thomas Rucker was one of the executors for his mother-in-law.

During the American Revolutionary War, Elizabeth provided supplies in support of the Continental Army in Culpeper County, Virginia. After the war, she filed a claim for reimbursement of the costs. [1] As Elizabeth Rennolds [sic] Rucker, she is honored by the Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution as DAR Ancestor #A202954.

Applications for membership in the Society of the DAR have been made by the descendants of her sons, Thomas Rucker, Jr., who also married a woman named Elizabeth (? nee); John Rucker, who married Mary Burton; and George Rucker, who married Catherine Ehart. [2]

Elizabeth's son, Thomas Rucker, Jr. was born circa 1739, in Orange County, Virginia. Culpeper County was established in 1749, with territory partitioned from Orange County. He, too, filed a claim for furnishing supplies in Culpeper County, during the American Revolutionary War and is acknowledged as DAR Ancestor #A099494. Applications for membership in the Society of the DAR have been made by the descendants of his sons, John Rucker, who married Hannah Phillips; and of his daughters, Tabitha Rucker, who married Robert Loyd; Mary Rucker, who married William Pendleton Herndon; Nancy Ann Rucker, who married Edward Herndon; and Caty Rucker, who married Samuel Burruss.

Researchers Notes

Some records for Elizabeth are now recorded in Rappahannock county, Virginia. Rappahannock County was created 8 February 1833 from Culpeper County, which is after her death. She was paying taxes on 200 acres of land as late as 1782.

According to her Find A Grave memorial, Elizabeth died in 1788, in Culpeper County, Virginia. [3] Her husband died in 1763, explaining why she and her son are credited for giving supplies during the war, and not her husband. Her year of birth is listed as 1715, and the comment, "birth date is approximate" is given. Using the date 1708, from DAR records, as this is more likely, based on her marriage and children's birth.
