Man Falls Dead Eating Supper At Farm House
Fatally stricken as he sat at a farm house supper table Wednesday evening, George S. Hepler, residing on the Neiswender farm at Pitman, died of acute dilatation of the heart.
He had done his usual day's work about the farm, and came to the house when darkness fell. He was sitting with the family at the table at 5:30 o'clock, apparently in normal health, when he collapsed and fell to the floor. They ran to his assistance and did what they could for him. A doctor was summoned, but long before he could make the trip to the farm house the man was dead.
He was aged 56 years, 8 months and 24 days and is survived by three brothers, Henry and Emanuel of Pitman, and William of Gordon. Two sisters reside in Ohio. He was unmarried and was employed on the farm where he died.
The funeral will be held Saturday morning from the home of his brother Emanuel. Burial will be made at the Hepler church.
