MRS. ELIZABETH HOTELLING
Aged Wyandot County Resident Dies at Carey Thursday
Mrs. Elizabeth Long Hotelling died at the home of her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Simon Wohlgamuth, on West street, Carey, Thursday morning at 6:20 o'clock. Death resulted from complications, Mrs. Hotelling having been taken ill Saturday. Elizabeth Long, the daughter of Hopkins and Sally Devine Long, was born south of Carey, March 5, 1853, having spent her entire life in Wyandot county. She had reached the age of 82 years, 7 months and 23 days at the time of demise. She was united in marriage to Charles Hotelling, July 5, 1869. Fifteen children were born to this union, ten of whom survive. Mr. Hotelling died April 19, 1930. Surviving children are Mrs. John Shine, of McCutchensville; Andrew Hotelling, Mrs. Wohlgamuth, Mrs. Anna Snyder, George Hotelling and James Hotelling, all of Carey; Grover and Elza Hotelling, of near Upper Sandusky; Mrs. Ray Inman, of Forest; and Mrs. Charles Yentzer, of Kenton. Five children and four brothers and sisters preceded Mrs. Hotelling in death. Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at the Wohlgamuth home in charge of Rev. N. W. Sager. Burial will be made in Spring Grove cemetery. The body was taken to the Bristoll funeral home and will be removed to the Wohlgamuth home this Friday night.
