About John Nye
John Nye "of the Town of Sandwich," made his will on 19 July 1720, and it was proved on 27 November 1722. The inventory, taken a few days before the will was proved, totaled £2551-11s-6d,] a substantial estate for the period. The will of "Esther Nye of the Town of Sandwich," widow of "John Nye my Deceased husband," dated 18 September 1724, was proved 29 September 1726. Her inventory, taken 26 September 1726, totaled £63-05s-10d. Benjamin! Nye's testamentary deed, dated 9 June 1704, mentions lands given earlier to "my son John Nye" which establishes that John Nye was the son of Benjamin 1 Nye. - Origins of Benjamin Nye, pg 22
