According to Clan MacFarlane, Margaret Colquhoun is the daughter of Sir John Colquhoun of Luss and his second wife Margaret Cunningham Clan MacFarlane This is wrong. She is in fact the bastard or natural daughter of Sir John Colquhoun of Luss The name of her mother is not known. NRS: GD20/1/638 Sir William Fraser identified her as the carnal daughter of Sir John Colquhoun of Luss The Chiefs of Colquhoun I: 102
