Mary Chapman was the daughter of Ralph Chapman who came from Southwark, London in 1635 aged 20 as ships Carpenter on the 'Elizabeth'. On May 4, 1666 [incorrect, should be May 14, 1666] she married William Throope of England.[1]

Mary Chapman, the daughter of Ralph Chapman and Lydia Wells, was born October 31, 1643 in Marshfield.[2] On May 14, 1666 she married William Troop in Barnstable.[3][4]

Mary (Mrs. Mary Throope) died in June 1732.[5]

Family

William Throop was born before 19 March 1637/1638 (ch at Sutton-cum-Lound, county Nottinghamshire, England. He was christened on 19 March 1637/38 at Sutton-cum-Lound, county Nottinghamshire, England.1,2 He was the son of William Throop and Isabell Redshaw.

He married Mary Chapman on 14 May 1666 at Barnstable, Barnstable, Massachusetts.3,4

One sources says: Mary Chapman was born on October 13, 1643, in Marshfield, Massachusetts. She married William Throope on May 14, 1666, in Barnstable, Massachusetts. They had one child during their marriage. She died in June 1732 in Bristol, Rhode Island, having lived a long life of 88 years.
