About Ruth Stanley
Ruth Andrews m. Matthew Stanley abt. 1654. Ruth's mother's name was Rebekah, maiden name unknown. Her father's first name is unknown. He died, widow Rebekah married John Tarbox in 1643.
Her father William was made a freeman of Lynn in March of 1634 and died by 1638 unknown but probably at Sea as he was likely William Andrewes Jr, a mariner and master of The Rose of Yarmouth in 1737 ferrying people and commodities to the Bay Colony. William is also recorded previously as sailing with his father William Sr. Her mother was referred to as "The Widow Andrus". Ruth's mother remarried to John Tarbox of Lynn in 1642.Ruth did not join the church in Topsfield until Reverend Capen took over. There is no indication that her husband ever did.She, along with sons William and Joseph died in the house fire of 1692. William survived for a few days afterwards.
