William Randolph, deceased, as a vestryman of St. James Northam Parish 23 September 1745. (Research):
Tarlton settled in Goochland Co. at Rock Castle. He is said to have completed the house there in 1731. He and John Fleming are listed as Justices of Goochland Co., 1728; Tarlton was one of the Justices at the formation of that County in 1728. IN 1730, Tarleton Flemng Sr. is listed as a Captain in the Goochland Co. Militia. There is deed recorded in Goochland, dated 1744 from Mrs. Jane Fleming to Capt. Robert Moseley, conveying an island of 28 acres on the James River, opposite 'Fleming's Rock Castle tract'. As it was the custom to address unmarried women as 'Mrs.'. this was probably a sister of Tarleton Fleming, for in 1742 Tarlton & Hannah Fleming witnessed the will of Isham Randolph.
