Profile of the Day: Charles Lindbergh
On March 21, 1928 aviator Charles Lindbergh was presented with the Medal of Honor for the first solo trans-Atlantic flight. At the age of 25, Lindbergh flew solo non-stop from New York City to Paris, France from May 20-21, 1927. His non-stop flight instantaneously gained him world fame and won him the Orteig Prize.
