Profile of the Day: Gabriel García Márquez
On March 6, 1927, Colombian novelist Gabriel García Márquez was born. Considered one of the most significant Latin American authors of the 20th century, Márquez was awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1982. He is perhaps best known for his novels, One Hundred Years of Solitude and Love in the Time of Cholera.
