Gioachino Rossini

Today, we highlight the “Rock Star of Opera,” Gioachino Rossini, who was born February 29, 1792 in Pesaro, Italy. Rossini was an Italian composer who wrote 39 operas, including his most famous Italian comedy, The Barber of Seville. He is considered one of the most popular opera composers in history.
