Harriet Beecher Stowe was an American abolitionist and author. Stowe is best known for her anti-slavery novel, Uncle Tom’s Cabin, which illustrated the life of African Americans in slavery. Her novel galvanized the abolitionist movement and helped lay the groundwork for the American Civil War. You can find her profile included in several projects on Geni, including the Authors of Great Literature and Legendary Heroines projects.
