Martin Luther King, Jr.

Today we remember civil rights activist Martin Luther King, Jr., who was fatally shot in Memphis, Tennessee on April 4, 1968. Dr. King was in town to support striking African American sanitation workers. Years after his death, his legacy lives on. Considered one of the most iconic civil rights activists in history, Dr. King’s work to end racial discrimination and inequality through nonviolent methods continues to inspire people all around the world.
