Harry was born on September 15, 1984 at St. Mary’s Hospital in London, England to Charles, Prince of Wales and Diana, Princess of Wales. He was christened Henry Charles Albert David, but growing up, he was referred to as “Harry.” He is currently the sixth in the line of succession to the British throne, after his nephew, Prince Louis.

In 2018, Prince Harry married Meghan Markle at St. George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle and a year later, the couple welcomed their son, Archie.

It has been a busy year for the Prince, with many many ups and downs in his life. The year began with the Duke and Duchess officially stepping down from their royal duties. Then sadly in April, his grandfather, Prince Philip, died at the age of 99. Two months later, Prince Harry became a father of two after the birth of his daughter, Lilibet. She is named after her great grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II, who was called “Lilibet” by her family.

In recent years, Prince Harry has been open about his mental health struggles after the death of his mother. This year he launched a documentary series in partnership with Oprah Winfrey called The Me You Can’t See, which focuses on the importance of mental health and its challenges.

And today, just in time for his birthday, Time magazine has named the Duke and the Duchess of Sussex as one of the 100 most influential people of 2021!
