Rudyard Kipling
On December 30, 1865, English poet and author Rudyard Kipling was born in Bombay, India. Kipling was an innovative story teller and best remembered for his adventure novel The Jungle Book and his poems, Gunga Din and If. In 1907, Kipling received the Nobel Prize for Literature.
