Happy birthday Sigourney Weaver! Today the actress turns 64. She was born Susan Alexandra Weaver in New York City and began calling herself Sigourney at the age of 14 after a character in the F. Scott Fitzgerald novel The Great Gatsby. She is best known for her iconic role of Ellen Ripley in the four Alien films, which also earned her an Academy Award nomination in 1986.
