Shabbat Shalom Geni support team!
Two different lines of ancestors? Which is right? Was Kohath son of Levi?
1. @Qaahat / Kohath / 100th of קהת is your great grandfather.
2. @Levi. is your 37th great uncle's 62nd great grandfather.

King David of Israel was the first in December 2016 my ancestor (100 generations).
After the information has changed four times?
(sorry my bad english, google translate)

@King David of Israel
King David of Israel

Shabbat Shalom!
Kaksi erinlaista esivanhempien linjaa? Kumpi on oikein? Oliko Kohath Levi poika ?
1. Qaahat / Kohath / קהת is your 100th great grandfather.
2. Levi . is your 37th great uncle's 62nd great grandfather.

Israelin kuningas David oli joulukuussa 2016 ensin esi-isäni (100 sukupolvea).
Sen jälkeen tieto on muuttunut neljä kertaa?

I am rather sceptical of this Biblical tree.... unless something is in the Bible (or Torah) I don't think I am getting too excited about it.... some people are giving Jesus ancestors and that is a LIE!!! So I am not getting further into this project... :(

I'm pretty skeptical about some ancestors I find for people. I'm not connected to the World Family Tree, as I only have 73 documented ancestors, but some people I know have some creepy ancestors. Ikshvāku, for example. Then, a friend of mine is descended from some Roman Emperor, even though he has no known relation to the royal family. To make things even stranger, Ikshvāku, who's from many years ago, isn't descended from Adam of Eden. What makes it even stranger is that his birth is dated before Adam of Eden's. All in all, I really don't completely trust medieval and Biblical trees.

We need someone to curate the Vedic tree too. It's probably as prone to misrepresentation as the Biblical tree has been.

There's a separate discussion at https://www.geni.com/discussions/165551 about Ikshvaku.

Yehuda Rubin - Geni tells me you are connected to me - so you are, in fact, connected to and a part of the World Tree on Geni.

Private User Yes, there is a path between us, but we are not blood relatives :-(

Yehuda - correct - we are not blood relatives, but we are both part of the World Tree.

Who ever IKSHVAKU is or was, he is no family of mine. It is strange because i am related to every other person on earth. King, Queen or knave; Test you against me and see for your self.
