We can see however that Elizabeth Wildman, Quaker Martyr was not a sole Quaker among contemporary WILDMAN family members. There had to have been several Wildman men and women of her generation who continued in the SETTLE MM. Some went to America, Martin Wildman of Croasdale Grains and his children but others did not.

It is a goal of this project to figure out the pedigrees of those who remained.

I am about to post a master research list gleaned from https://bmdregisters.co.uk

It is not far-fetched to think that these Wildman wer not closely related for the Crown, under Charles II was responsible for the death of the aging widow Elizabeth Wildman in the Lancashire jail. Settle meeting records report her burial at Settle two days after her expiration at Lancaster. IT must have had a huge effect on the extended family. There were other WIldmans and extended family persecuted as well. Besse records some of it.
